Social Competency
Presented By: Jojo Blackman - 12 Oct, Hamilton
Venue: Distinction Hamilton, 100 Garnett Avenue, Te Rapa, Hamilton
How do children start to understand who they are, what they are feeling and what can be defined as acceptable behaviour? These concepts contribute to a child’s self-confidence and empathy, their ability to develop meaningful and lasting friendships and their sense of importance and value to those around them. Once undesirable behaviour has escalated it is often very difficult to re-gain a child’s attention. Children need to experience an environment where they know, and operate within, the limits and boundaries of acceptable and respectful behaviour.
This workshop will explore how teams can work collaboratively to ensure there is a consistent approach to promoting positive social relationships and provides practical strategies to share with parents and whānau. This course runs from 9am-3pm.Normal Price: $150
