Teacher Childspace Wilton – 6 month fixed term available early Feb 2018

We are looking for a qualified kaiako to join our Childspace Wilton team. We are located in northern suburbs of Wellington central to Otari Wilton Bush. We cater for children between 2 – 6 years. We offer a diverse early childhood programme that includes a strong focus on meaningful rituals, art, excursions, sustainable practices, and self-directed play. Much of our inspiration comes from the work of Emmi Pikler and Magda Gerber, and Reggio Emilia. Our current team bring with them a range of passions and experiences, which they enjoy weaving into the daily programme and sharing their interests with the tamariki. We are looking for a teacher on a short term basis but will greatly add to the programme.

Centre Manager at Childspace Karori– available Mid Feb 2018

Childspace Karori is looking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced centre manager to cover a year maternity position. This is a unique opportunity to join our innovative organisation in a leadership position.

Childspace has four early learning centres in the western suburbs of Wellington of which Karori is one. Centre managers benefit from the support of a principal as well as the resources and professional development opportunities available through the Childspace early childhood institute. There is a strong management team across all our centres who support each other through regular meetings, sharing successes and challenges. Childspace also employs a workshop team who are available to the centres for repairs, maintenance, and improvements.

Inspired by the work of Emmi Pikler and Magda Gerber, Karori Childspace is a peaceful environment licensed for 22 infants and toddlers per day and has a team of 6 teachers.  A leader who is passionate, committed and spirited, who also has a sense of humour and fun would complement the current team.

We seek an exceptional professional with proven experience in leading, inspiring and role modelling great pedagogical teaching as well as able to meet administrative responsibilities. Excellent organisational skills, interpersonal communication, team skills, planning and evaluative skills are required.
