In recent years, increasing attention has been paid to the influence of the “manosphere”, an online ecosystem promoting rigid, often harmful ideas about masculinity on boys and young men. While the impact of this manosphere on teenagers is unquestionable, the roots of gendered thinking begin far earlier in life. This phenomenon demands that the ECE sector engages with gender stereotypes and their impact on our youngest children.
