As the end of the year approaches with all our associated festivities, the question arises, what do meaningful community celebrations look like here in Aotearoa in this day and age?

You can think of celebrations as the enactment of the story. Physically, culture is ancestry but imaginatively it is story. While stories have many functions, I believe one of the primary functions of story is to anchor us to place and to each other.
