Childspace Ltd. – website, shop orders and professional development terms and conditions

1. Refunds and returns

At Childspace Ltd., we stand behind our products! If for any reason a Childspace customer is unsatisfied with their purchase, they can contact us within 30 days of taking delivery, and organise to return the product and receive a refund of the purchase price excluding the associated delivery cost, subject to the terms and conditions listed below:

1.1 In order to organise a refund under these terms and conditions, the customer must e-mail [email protected]  within 30 days of taking delivery of their product and request a refund under these terms and conditions. The customer must comply with the directions of Childspace staff to facilitate a refund.
1.2 Where a customer requests a refund in accordance with these terms and conditions, the refund will be for the amount of the purchase price excluding the delivery cost as specified in the customer’s order.
1.3 The 30 days will commence on the date that the customer accepts delivery of their Childspace product. Where there is no proof of delivery, this date will be assumed to be 3 business days from the date of dispatch of the product.
1.4 The Childspace product must be returned within 30 days of requesting a refund under these terms and conditions:

1.6 Customers must return the products for which they are seeking a refund at their own cost.
1.7 After receiving the returned products, Childspace Ltd. will issue a refund as soon as is reasonably practicable and the customer will be provided with e-mail acknowledgement. Where possible, refunds will be processed by reversing the initial customer transaction. Childspace accepts no responsibility for any delays that may occur in receiving the refund because of any third-party payment gateway.                                               

EXCEPTIONS

1.8 No refunds are issued for eBooks if the product has been downloaded.

1.9 No refunds are given on cancelled ‘The Space Magazine’ annual subscriptions once magazines have been issued.

1.10 No refunds are given on cancelled ‘Childspace at Your Place’ online memberships.

1.11 Workshop custom-build order refunds are at the discretion of Childspace Ltd.

 

2. Pricing

2.1 All prices listed on the website are in New Zealand dollars.
2.2 All prices listed on the website include GST unless otherwise specified.
2.3 All prices displayed on the website are subject to change without notice. Prices for items in an order are fixed once your order has been confirmed. Subsequent price changes either up or down will not be retrospectively applied to confirmed orders.
2.4 If a coupon code is entered at the checkout, it has the effect of applying a discount equally across the entire order, including all goods, but excluding the associated delivery costs.
2.5  All prices listed on the website exclude delivery costs, which is shown separately in the checkout page, but may be recalculated depending on the quantity of goods you place in an order.
2.6 You agree to pay all delivery costs as they are calculated and listed in the order confirmation at the time of purchase.

 

3. Orders

3.1 You may place an order by following the instructions on the website. Your order will be submitted by completing payment details and clicking the ‘confirm’ button.
3.2 Orders will be deemed to have been received by Childspace at the time Childspace sends an order confirmation to your nominated e-mail address.
3.3 Childspace will primarily communicate with customers via e-mail. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the correct contact details are entered and that the nominated e-mail address is regularly checked for correspondence.
3.4   Childspace accepts no responsibility for orders that are declined or not accepted due to disruptions with internet connections.

 

4. Payment

4.1 You may provide your nominated credit card during the purchase process described on the website. Childspace Ltd. accepts Visa, American Express and MasterCard payments only.
4.2 Payment for orders will be processed immediately upon confirmation of your order.
4.3 If your nominated payment method triggers Childspace Ltd. internal suspect transaction protocols, Childspace Ltd. may contact you to confirm additional details, or rescind the transaction.
4.4 Childspace have secure online order and payment facilities
4.5 Childspace never store your credit card details. We use STRIPE as our secure payment method. Please check their respective website for their terms and conditions.
4.6 Payment via internet banking is to be made into the Childspace Ltd. bank account (New Zealand or Australia) as advised on your order confirmation. International bank transactions may incur a bank fee that must be paid by the customer.

 

5. Delivery and ownership of the goods

5.1 It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the delivery address is correct. All deliveries take place Monday – Friday during normal business hours.
We will be able to process your order and dispatch it daily if ordered prior to 12 noon Monday to Friday.
If an item is temporarily out of stock, we will notify you of the delay and dispatch it as soon as possible.
5.2 Childspace tries to ensure that all goods are delivered in a prompt and timely manner. However, from time to time, it is possible that shipping and other factors outside of our control may result in delays. Childspace Ltd. does not accept any liability for loss or damage suffered by anyone because of such delays.
5.3 Where dispatch of a product is delayed by more than one week, customers will be notified.

 

6. Faulty or damaged goods

6.1 Childspace Ltd. will replace faulty or damaged goods.
6.2 Where a good is a faulty or damaged good, then  Childspace Ltd. will:
(a) replace the faulty or damaged good with a replacement good; or
(b) if  Childspace Ltd. is unable to provide a replacement good,  Childspace Ltd. will refund the customer the purchase price of the replacement good only, including the delivery cost.
6.3 Where a replacement good is available, and the customer elects to receive a refund instead of a replacement good, the refund will be for the amount of the purchase price excluding the delivery cost.

 

7. Course cancellation policy

7.1 If Childspace Ltd. cancels a course for any reason, a full refund will be made. If you need to withdraw from a course, a full refund will be made, providing that we have at least 7 days’ written notice (prior to the course date) to [email protected]. If a withdrawal is made within 7 days of the course date due to unavoidable circumstances, a refund may be made, less an administration fee of 25% of the course fee. In this case we recommend that you send a replacement person. In the case of non-attendance on a course without notice, no refund will be made. Enrolment on a course constitutes acceptance of this policy.

 

8. Private professional development cancellation policy

8.1 If Childspace Ltd. cancels a private professional development course for any reason, a full refund will be made. A 20% deposit and course facilitator flights (if required) are payable within 7 days to confirm your booking. These are non-refundable should you need to cancel the course.

 

9. Site use

9.1. The website may contain links to other web sites. Those links are provided for convenience only and may not remain current or be maintained. Childspace Ltd. is not responsible for the content or privacy practices associated with linked web sites.
9.2. You must ensure that your access to or use of the website is not illegal or prohibited by laws which apply to you.
9.3. You must take your own precautions to ensure that your process for accessing the website does not expose you to risk of viruses, malicious computer code or other forms of interference which may damage your computer system. Childspace Ltd. takes no responsibility for any such damage which may arise in connection with your use of the website.

 

10. Privacy

10.1 We gather personal information about our customers for the purposes of:
(a) marketing, supplying or delivering our products to you;
(b) improving and developing our products; and
(c) expanding our business.
10.2 Childspace Ltd. is committed to protecting your privacy and personal information because of our legal and ethical commitment to comply with relevant law and more importantly, because we know that you care how information about you may be used and shared.
10.3 Childspace Ltd. will not sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose personally identifiable information.
