These gentle rockers double as infant climbers, and are accessible to young learners of all ages.

Constructed from untreated NZ-grown pine plywood finished in NZ-made water-based polyurethane, 450mm wide x 1200mm long x 330mm high.

Movable boxes

A modern classic in flexible learning environments, these boxes can be arranged into performance stages, worktables, pirate ships and soft protected spaces. Older children enjoy the cooperative play of moving these elements to suit their own imaginative games.

All boxes and ramps are open on one side to give more play options, and are made from NZ-grown pine plywood finished in NZ-made water-based polyurethane. Made to modular sizes for limitless configurations (the large cube shown here is 60cm x 60cm x 60cm), we can also build to your specific needs.

Musical instruments:
Bong-a-ma-phones

These bonga-ma-phones (technical name ‘plosive aerophones’) are great full-body dancing-around elements in any holistic playground. These beautiful instruments are tuned to a minor pentatonic scale and sound great when paired with the ukulele. Made from sturdy PVC pipe, NZ-grown pine exterior-treated plywood, and finished in NZ-made water-based stain.

Comes complete with two EVA foam  ‘paddle bongers’.

These maps & trees are cut from NZ-grown untreated pine plywood. Perfect for team-building, parent education or collage with children, each comes with an instruction sheet for collage. Once collaged these trees and maps make beautiful wall displays. Collect your own local natural materials or we can send mixed bags of natural collage materials.

Plywood cutouts - part 2

Word kitsets

These letters are cut from lightweight untreated birch plywood, and are wonderful natural collage projects at parent evenings, teacher meetings, and during creative art times. Letters measure approximately 25cm x 25cm, with the long stalks on the ‘p’ and ‘h’ 30cm long.

Constructed from driftwood and NZ-grown untreated plywood, finished in NZ-made water-based polyurethane. Created with and without gates, we can always build to your specific needs.

Portholes

These portholes are a fantastic way to bring coloured light into your playspaces, and create visual access to the wider world while retaining some element of privacy. Easy to install, they are created from coloured or clear perspex and exterior-treated NZ-grown pine , finished in NZ-made water-based stain.

Barrel pumps

Children are empowered to control their own water supply with these water barrels with built-in hand-operated pumps. Able to be filled by an ordinary garden hose or from a rainwater tank, these units are also great conversation starters about nature’s water cycle and water conservation.

Barrel shell constructed from exterior-treated NZ-grown pine planks with 100 litre polyethylene plastic tank inside, hand pump features removable handle. Approx. 800mm diameter x 1000mm high.
